Connecting problem to impulse server

Post by supadry »

So yeah,
I get a error "VM_create on cgame Failed" while I try to connect to impulse pug server.
This has started just a few days ago and has been ruining my chances to pug.
All other servers work fine, there is no bigger issues with them.
I have had this same problem before, but last time it couldn't open the game at all.
Last time I had to delete some files so it started working properly, but I feel that this time
the problem isn't about some files. I brought this up because I myself can't figure out whats wrong,
I need someones aid to fix this out, so any thoughts about whats wrong?

Could it be a particular mod that you are running?

That usually happens to me if I try and run multiple games at once (Either multiple JA instances or like BF2 + JA) on my beast desktop.

Perhaps a reinstall is in order? What all do you have in your base folder?

It's only on one server, and that server runs kramod. The server and client's data is obviously having a disagreement, and since the rest of us can still connect, there's something supra has that is clashing with it.

Nothing I've changed makes any difference to the client whatsoever as compared to base.
He wouldn't have been able to connect on base.
Hi. I'm angry on the internet.

Well, if Impulse is the one and only server he cannot connect to, my hunch was that it's because it's the only server that runs kramod. Why or how there would have been a conflict, is lost on me. What I mean is that he's running a mod that no one else is.

anyway, seems a fresh install worked for him.
