which operating system? which video card, and have you updated the drivers to their latest?
If it's Vista, please make sure the jamp.exe is set to "Run as Admin"
And which server did you try to join? Last I checked, none of our servers were pure.

its not vista¸i went to tempest¸i have laptop think pad t30 its not bad but is old and i havent update new driver help if you can

Many laptops tend to have poor graphics cards. Definitely check to see which one you have, go to control panel, Appearance and Settings (or Display, depending what you see in CP), click the Settings tab, and click Advanced, then click the Adapter tab.Matt wrote:its not vista¸i went to tempest¸i have laptop think pad t30 its not bad but is old and i havent update new driver help if you can

I think that error usually has to do with a bad/missing OpenGL install.

vm_create on UI has a tirade of different culprits. But yes, video drivers are usually the first place to look.
You can download the ATI 7500 drivers for XP here. You are running on XP, right?
Let us know if you still get this error after installing the new drivers.
