retiring
Re: retiring
I had a friend who broke his collar bone, we were in ICT when it was healing and this girl grabbed his shoulder and rather than punching her he punched the monitor so we laughed at him and he was nearly in tears because he was in so much pain.

Hi. I'm angry on the internet.
Re: retiring
The girl didn't know, the broken collar guy took her seat and she wasn't happy as the seat in question was closer to me!

Re: retiring
Dude must have been kind of a puss. Mine was so broken it had to be surgically repaired, and I wouldn't consider it painful. Just annoying.

I think you're just ignorant. All broken bones are different, shattered vs. cut clean, etc.Magyk wrote:Dude must have been kind of a puss. Mine was so broken it had to be surgically repaired, and I wouldn't consider it painful. Just annoying.

Re: retiring
Actually, I don't think I could be any less knowledgeable on the matter considering I've spend the last 16 days in and out of doctor's offices, and hospitals.
In the last week, I had a 3cm separation, and 2cm overlap (when the norm is >1cm for both) between my split clavicle and had to have a bone graft to put it back together, so you'd think that would be a little bit painful; and it really isn't that bad. In fact, for the first 10 minutes (give or take) after I broke my collar bone, I didn't even realize that anything was wrong. (Given the circumstances I'm sure I had a fair amount of adrenaline going on though.)
If the guy really was "nearly in tears" it's due to punching the monitor - in which case he's just an idiot trying to show off for a girl. What a genius.

Re: retiring
This was no showing off or due to punching the monitor, he screamed and then punched the monitor, he was already biting back the tears and he just wanted to take his anger out on something other than a person.Magyk wrote:Actually, I don't think I could be any less knowledgeable on the matter considering I've spend the last 16 days in and out of doctor's offices, and hospitals.

Injuries are different for everyone, so it obviously is just ignorance.
