Sorry for a city/country being happy after killing the man responsible for the worst terrorist attack in history.
Damn you're a fucking ignorant tool.
This.
For some, bin Laden represents an idea more than a person who lived and died. More than the death of a human being, this ends the life of a powerful symbol of terrorism and destruction, said Nadine Kaslow, psychologist at Emory University. Bin Laden's death hits closer to home in the U.S. than the capture and execution of Saddam Hussein, for example, because the Iraqi dictator did not directly attack American soil, she said.
The celebratory mood reflects a sense that fairness and justice had been restored and that a terrorist got his comeuppance, said Kaslow. "I think people feel like this guy got what he deserved. It was a sense that it was 'our family' that was killed," she said.

Killing the figurehead means nothing, the terrorists aren't gonna give up because Bin Laden's dead, and the ambiguous "War on Terror" is far from won. Thousands of civilian deaths on both sides of the conflict, trillions of dollars spent, and finding out one of the US's supposed allies was harbouring the world's most wanted man less than 200 yards away from their own military compound. But hey, you got your trophy, that's cause for celebration right?
Seems like Bush isn't the only one to blow his load prematurely!

Not sure that dudes need to party over the death of this dude, but I am pretty sure dudes haven't systematically exterminated jews en masse for a while now, either.

So we shouldn't celebrate killing Osama? After hunting him down for 10 years when we kill him we should just act the same as we do every day. That seems like a great idea dude!
We celebrate his death because it brings us some sort of justice. We're not dumb, we realize the war on terror is far from over and that this could possibly bring more terroristic activity.
We would probably have the same celebrations if Canada decided to finally get off the swing from our balls.

He was an icon, a figurehead if you will. His face was put on the issue. Now that he's dead, people are naturally going to be happy. If we had put Ronald McDonald's face on the issue, people would be looking for his head too.
Either way, I'm one of the glad people.

Well, when you break it down to simplest terms....
Why does anyone have to die from anything but natural causes?...or maybe accident?(sorry, Darwins)
If you boil it straight down, it all stems from stupidity much the same way everyone here treats each other most of the time.
Ignorance or pure hate/stupidity.
Either way, I'll celebrate.....I'll just celebrate the memories of the innocent victims rather than the death the of the prick who claims he was behind it.
Besides....my skepticitis sometimes kicks in.....how do any of us know this dude is actually dead?

Still, it doesn't matter if he's dead. No matter what theories conspiracists may think of, in the public's eye, he's dead. Politically, that's all that matters in a democracy or a republic.

I say celebrate all you want. The psychological boost it has given this country so far is fine by me.

It doesn't behoove him for the general populace to think he's dead, as long as the people in charge of looking for him still knew he was alive. He would have released one of those videos he likes to do as soon as Obama announced his death to prove him wrong, because it's not in his better interests to do otherwise.
Oh by the way we just made Osama a martyr huahuahua.
