Im gonna c if u guys can balance a chem equation that i got for bonus points last year.
*note subscripts are in ( )

It's been a really, really long time since I've done any balancing chemical equations. (I think like sophomore year HS, so like 4 years ago)

But wouldn't it be something like..

2C(2)H(6) + 7O(2) = 4CO(2) + 6H(2)O

This may be wrong, but I think that's it. Like I said, been a while.

Balancing equations isn't really that hard if you know what you're doing, it's just been a number of years since I've done any of it. Pretty confident my answer is correct though.

Balanced equation: 2 C2H6 + 7 O2 = 4 CO2 + 6 H2O

Like magyk said.

Little trick you learn in IT, knowing something does not make you look smart, the ability to quickly find an answer makes you look smart. I have no idea how ro balance chemical equations, but i found the answer to the question in 35 seconds.

This dude knows what he's talking about...lol.

I remember doing this and I could have solved it, but I think it's better if a man knows how to fish rather than give him a mcfish sammich. Just remember to NEVER split the compounds...ie H2O...CO2....

Oh, and it's O (oh) and not 0 (zero) when you type a chemical equation.
