So anyway. It makes no sense to ban someone when they realize they can't play, so that they can't join when they can play again. This rule isn't going to change the frequency of players having to leave very much. Players have most always made it clear when they know they have to leave soon, or might have to. That's really all they can do from their end.

Pugs are somewhat common over holidays, but they're not common during the regular semester at all.

So is this what you really want for siege, Guard? Make it so pugs die even FASTER when dudes have to leave?

Fine. We'll blame you when siege pug dies then.

The pug will still die for the day.

Guard's rule is retarded. More people will quit siege over this, than over people who genuinely have to leave the video game. These guys are making the video game really really serious.

You're the one overreacted. Personally I think it's a good rule. It makes people think twice before leaving a pug. It's only 1 day....No one is gonna quit cuz of it.

Pretty sure I'm not "overreacted," that's not even proper grammar (you're using the wrong suffix). Please learn how to write the only language that you've mastered before you attempt to talk trash at me. :)

And I didn't even say that anyone was "overreacted," I said that they were making the video game really really serious by having consequences for whenever something else in someone's day temporarily takes priority over the video game. Are you trying to insinuate that this never happens?
tens0r wrote:It makes people think twice before leaving a pug.
Again, you guys keep treating leaving like it's an option. Some people don't have an option.

If someone knows they're leaving, what tends to happen is they come to watch but they say they're spec because they have to leave soon. Everyone does everything they can to avoid having to leave midpug, but that doesn't absolutely guarantee that no one will have to leave at all during that pug.

You dudes fucking solicit us to high heaven to get us to come pug, even when we might not even be in the mood, and then you rage when something unexpected comes up and one of us has to leave. You can't have it both ways...

I remember just today, I was at impulse and my name clearly said trk@spec. I'm out of town right now and I had to pack light, and even if I had my mouse and keyboard with me I fucking hate playing jka on a bed. So I just watch. And yet for 3 pugs in a row, I have dudes berating me for not playing, calling me a pugkiller, telling me I'm being a dick (cough tensor), when I clearly explained to them that I'd hardly be a yews as a player since I have no movement binds and I'm definitely not gonna rebind all my shit just so I can play on a shitty touchpad.

So I make myself spec since I'm in no condition to play, and yet that is not good enough for the majority of the reborn boss academy siege population. They expect me to play and ruin a pug by not even counting as a player in the video game.

How's it go again? I'll survive a few days without pugs? :) owned faggots, now go suck a niggerdick kthx.

Damn, I should write a dissertation on why Guard's idea is such a farce. I might get published! :)

To be honest this rule is much more of a fun-ruiner for any and all players who have to leave unexpectedly (and ruin their chance to kick back and blow off some steam later on in the day), than it is for the other players who play on without them. It's much less strife for a player to have to sit out and laugh at the rest of the players for the rest of the round, or until another sub connects, or until the other dude who left comes back since sometimes they're only gone for a few minutes.

I especially like how Archi honestly believes that I have "rage afk'd" every time that I've had to get up and go do something. I mean, does this guy like have a fucking security camera pointed at my desk? Yea, I didn't think so either, faggot. Get the fuck off my internets, creepazoid. Seriously though, who the FUCK do you people think you are? The reborn boss Academy RL police? ROFL. You loonies have officially lost your marbles. Good day to you.

PS: I suppose then, that Tensor wouldn't mind some retroactive bans for all the pugs he's intentionally killed by crashing ctf (and siege) servers. I bet that number far exceeds the amount of pugs that any player has ever had to leave for good. not even gonna count the amount of times he rq'd korriban after the crystals. I mean, it's only 2 months of no siege pugs, right? No big deal. Let's see if he can take his own medicine!

PPS: I'm not mad. I'm MAD.

Ok if they don't have a choice because of an emergency they can fax me the medical records to the hospital they had to rush to and then I will unban them.

And I didn't call you a dick for not playing you faggot. You had spec in your name and I could care less if you play or not, I actually prefer you not playing korri.

Not a real surprise that trk disagrees with something and bitches about it in numerous paragraphs. We've seen it too many times.

PS: You're gay.

PPS: You're still gay.

Only super losernerds like the WoW kid crying to his parents on Vent, or the mad german kid trying to launch counterstrike, would tell their boss, or their parents, or their friends, or their signifcant other, "hey sorry I'm in the middle of a really serious video game I can't leave it right now!!!" This creates a certain negative impression on others, and leads them to judge where your sense of priority is.

Putting this rule into place isn't much of a deterrent, since the word has no relevance here. It won't really change who leaves and who doesn't, if they have to leave then they have to leave. It'll only change the amount of players available to pug at a given time.

this guy believes that a medical emergency is the only legitimate reason to leave the video game. Otherwise what does that make it... an unexcused absence?! What the fuck is this, LucasArts University? reborn boss Academy Siege (JAS) 336: Pickup Game Etiquette. ROFLROFL.

So there you have it, Guard. That's what your little proposition has come to, a set of university policies. You can be the President of our new institution for higher learning!

PS: Not a real surprise that Guard randomly barges in during a long bout of inactivity and pretends to understand exactly what's going on. We've seen it too many times. Gonna start looking at server providers now :)

I always liked this one.

Player B: "We have enough for 4s."
Player A: "No, I have to go in like 15."
Player B: "Just join anyway."

15 minutes later, halfway through Hoth.

Player A: "Gotta go guys, GG."
Player B: [Insert vulgar rant + optional ragequit insult here.]

If it's like this then you don't get banned.

And trk no one cares what you do. If you wanna shit talk and threaten guard then fucking leave, he'll call your bluff. You say he's ruining siege but yet he has SAVED siege otherwise it would be COMPLETELY dead. Guard has done more for this game/community than ANYONE. So you talking shit to guard is ignorant and just fucking stupid.
