Got a P38, too. Again, it's a fun gun to play around with. Neat thing is how it ejects to the left. As far as pistols go, M1911 is still better.Max Rambone wrote: text wall o' awesomeness
As far as handguns go, though, NOTHING beats the old Army/Navy black powder revolvers in terms of comfort. They just hang there in your hand. You know you got weight there, and it feels GOOD.

Re: New Toy
SEALs are special forces, no budget, choose their own weapons. They are trained killing machines and can place a 9mm round in your face, 9mm has a larger round capacity. That is why they choose to carry it.Turquoise Dragon wrote:And yet many personell in the middle east buy their own .45s and ammo because the 9mm just don't cut it. You can take a 9mm and keep going. No matter where a .45 hits you, you go down, even if it's not leathal. Been shown time and again. Military is a 9mm because the gov is too cheap, as 9mm ammo costs less than .45.
I've used both the M1911 and the Beretta. No doubt about it, 1911 all the way. It's got the power, the feel, and the accuracy. Take a double-stack, and the beretta looses its superior ammo capacity, as well.

Nothing special there. I can do that, and I suck with handguns.CHEW wrote:They are trained killing machines and can place a 9mm round in your face
Not gonna argue there. Except if you consider double-stack 1911. 12+1 and 13+1 capactiy. But, yeah, a 'normal' 1911 has a 7+1.CHEW wrote:9mm has a larger round capacity.

That's because the design for that gun was based off a heavily-modified revolver originally made by Taurus. Don't remember the exact model, though.
