When I had my linux box, I used to make backups and test new things on that before using it live, but I had to donate the RAM in that system to another cause and I don't currently have the means or time to get it going again.
Believe me, there are already a ton of anti-bot features coded into this website. The few bots that do get past my measures is only like 0.1% of the actual bots that attempt to register here, and sometimes I am certain the bot is aided by an actual human as well.
